Ruuvi goes 100% Open Source!
We decided to make a big move and open so many cool things in the future.
Back in the days hardware design files of our products weren't open. Yes, we did share some schematics etc, but under non-commercial licenses. This is about to change. Today I opened our designs using Creative Commons BY-SA license. This means that one is able to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
We're positive that this the way to go. We want to support the open source hardware ideology and to have maximum fun designing and sharing innovative Ruuvi products in the future!
What we opened today, is: RuuviTracker Rev.C3 and RuuviTag Rev.A. You can find it all by visiting Ruuvi's GitHub page.
