Compatibility (Android)

Ruuvi devices are Bluetooth Low Energy compatible, and they are visible to all Bluetooth Low Energy enabled devices. However, there are some requirements and limitations which might limit the use of the Ruuvi Station application.


Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) compatibility, Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) and up.


Ruuvi devices must be powered and within Bluetooth signal range to be visible for Ruuvi Station. Ruuvi sensor’s signal strength (RSSI) is indicated in Ruuvi Station app using dBm values.


We have tried to make the Ruuvi Station user experience as straightforward as possible. Most of the time, using Ruuvi sensors doesn’t require any additional configuration to be used with Ruuvi Station.

However, there are some situations when you may need to do some simple troubleshooting to get going: our troubleshooting page is designed to cover most common cases you might encounter when using Ruuvi Station on your mobile device.
