RuuviTags are managed in Ruuvi Station through Tag Cards, which are used to visualise the collected sensor data and any assigned alerts.
To collect RuuviTag sensor data, any nearby RuuviTag must first be added to Ruuvi Station. Adding a RuuviTag to Ruuvi Station app creates a ‘Tag Card’, which visualises the collected sensor data in real time.
When launching Ruuvi Station for the first time you will be forwarded to Nearby Tags page, where RuuviTags can be added.
This page will show you all visible RuuviTags, which are:
If you didn't add all visible tags during the first launch, the ‘Nearby Tags’ page is always accessible through the Main Menu by selecting ‘Add a New RuuviTag’.
Information shown on ‘Nearby Tags’ page:
Tags are organised according to signal strength in descending order.
Any found Tag will show their MAC address and signal strength on a single line. A simple tap on any unassigned Tag will add it to Ruuvi Station and you will be forwarded to the Tag Settings page.
Important notice: once a RuuviTag has been added to Ruuvi Station, it will no longer be visible under ‘Nearby Tags’.
You will be able to remove any RuuviTag from Ruuvi Station by removing the associated Tag Card from settings.
After removing a Tag, it will be visible on ‘Nearby Tags’ page as an unassigned tag.
IMPORTANT WARNING: Please note, that removing the Tag Card will also remove all collected RuuviTag history data from Ruuvi Station.
