Manual Ruuvi Station

Tag Settings

The ‘Tag Settings’ page gives you control over an individual Tag that has been added to Ruuvi Station. In ‘Tag Settings’ you are able to:

  • Choose a background image
  • Name Tags
  • Set limits for Alerts and activate or deactivate them
  • Point individual Tag data to be sent to an external Gateway
  • View and copy any Tag's MAC address
  • Remove Tag

Background Image

Every individual Tag Card can be customised to show a unique background image. You can choose from a collection of default images by tapping the recycle icon or upload your own image by selecting the camera symbol.

User images can be uploaded from ‘Camera’ or from ‘Gallery’. Please note that Ruuvi Station will crop any image to fit into the app background.

We recommend using portrait images that blend nicely into the background, but any kind of standard .jpg, .png, or .gif image may be used. Ruuvi Station app does not support .gif animations or video file formats to be used as backgrounds.

Tag Name

Ruuvi Station will name all new Tags according to their MAC addresses, but you are able to name them freely just by tapping on the ‘Tag Name’ field and adding a preferred name.

Alerts

Ruuvi Station alerts are displayed in two locations within the Ruuvi Station app: an alert will trigger a notification to be displayed as ‘Notification Message’ and an Alert icon will be displayed on any individual Tag Card to indicate the specific Tag, which has triggered the alert.

All alert types can be set to ‘enabled’ or ‘disabled’ individually by checking or unchecking the checkbox on the right side of any individual alert.

Alert types and limits:

Temperature

Temperature alerts will be triggered if a value is recorded outside the selected range. Operating range can be set anywhere between -40 and +85 (Celsius) or -40 and +185 (Fahrenheit), respectively.

Relative air humidity

Humidity alert will be triggered if a value is recorded outside the selected range. Operating range can be set anywhere between 0 and 100.
