In normal operation, the front facing LED indicator’s main function is to visually show your current measured air quality.
The Ruuvi Indoor Air Quality Score (IAQS) is a single number from 0 to 100 that summarizes how good or poor your indoor air quality is. It is based on two key factors: levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and carbon dioxide (CO₂). These two measurements are combined into one easy-to-understand score so you can quickly assess air quality.

Here are the IAQS levels, what they mean, and their representative LED colours:
🟦 TURQUOISE – Above 90: Excellent air quality
🟩 GREEN – 80 to 90: Good air quality
🟨 YELLOW – 50 to 80: Fair air quality
🟧 ORANGE – 10 to 50: Poor air quality
🟥 RED – Below 10: Very poor air quality
Indoor Air Quality score is also visually represented in Ruuvi Station app with same colours and colour ranges.
