Getting Started With Ruuvi

Welcome to our Ruuvi getting started, regulatory safety information, and certification page. Read these instructions carefully before starting the use of products.

Please be noted that due to Apple's Bluetooth scanning restrictions, iPhone and iPad devices are not capable to scan nearby Bluetooth broadcast messages when the app is not on foreground. For this reason, history graphs and alerts are currently not working with the standard firmware.

However, we've created a firmware that's able to connect with the mobile app instead of just sending broadcast messages. With the new firmware, Ruuvi Station iOS app can be connected with a sensor (or sensors) in the background and this way launch alerts. This same firmware will also bring history logging feature for the both iOS and Android phones.

Read on more how to update the firmware here. Please note that the RuuviTag power consumption will be higher in connectable firmware than in standard firmware.
