Claim ownership of your sensor
If Ruuvi Air data is not available on your mobile device through Ruuvi Cloud (a small Ruuvi Gateway icon is shown next to last updated text when measurements are fetched from Ruuvi Cloud), make sure that you have claimed the sensor’s ownership to your account. This can be done as follows:
- Log in to the Ruuvi Station mobile app, if you are not already logged in.
- Go to the Ruuvi Air sensor’s settings page and tap Owner.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to claim the sensor’s ownership to your account.
After these steps, Ruuvi Air should be updated via the cloud service when it is within range of the Ruuvi Gateway router.
This can best be verified in the Ruuvi Station web app by signing in at https://ruuvi.com/station with the same user account. If the sensor updates in the web app, then it has been added correctly to your account and the traffic is going through the Ruuvi Gateway router to the Ruuvi Cloud service.
Make sure your Ruuvi Gateway firmware is up-to-date
If Ruuvi Air data is still not available in Ruuvi Cloud, check that the Ruuvi Gateway firmware has been updated to the latest version, which adds support for Ruuvi Air (Ruuvi Air data format support is added to Ruuvi Gateway in Ruuvi Gateway firmware version 1.16.0.).
- Find a paper clip or similar tool that you can use to briefly press the recessed button located on the back of the Ruuvi Gateway under the USB connector.
- The Ruuvi Gateway router’s Wi-Fi access point is now active. Look for a wireless network named Configure Ruuvi Gateway among your device’s available networks and connect to it.
- The setup wizard will open. If this does not happen automatically, open a browser and go to 10.10.0.1.
- Go to the Software Update page in the setup wizard and select Update. Wait for the firmware to be downloaded and for the Ruuvi Gateway to update. After this, the setup wizard can be closed.
