  • Ruuvi Station cannot be installed

    Minimum requirements: OS version, storage space, Bluetooth

    Ruuvi Station minimum requirements: 

    • Android: 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher, 50 MB storage space, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity
    • iOS: 9.0 or higher, 50 MB storage space, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity

    Google Play

    Check that Google Play and Ruuvi Station application are accessible in your region.

    Internet connection

    Check that your internet connection is enabled and you have access to the internet.

  • Ruuvi Station doesn't see any RuuviTags

    Check permissions

    Ruuvi Station requires the Location permission in order to see RuuviTags. In order to allow Ruuvi Station to store graph history data, you also need to grant the Storage permission.

    Bluetooth is disabled

    Ruuvi Station requires Bluetooth (BLE) connection, check that your Bluetooth connection is enabled.

    RuuviTag is not powered

    Indicator LED light will blink on the RuuviTag, when the beacon is powered.

    RuuviTag firmware

    Ruuvi Station can only see RuuviTags, which have the default Ruuvi firmware program.

    RuuviTag signal is out of range

    Bring the RuuviTag closer to your mobile device. Make sure there are no structures between the RuuviTag and your mobile device, which could obstruct the Bluetooth signal.

  • No new Tags in Nearby Tags

    Check permissions

    Ruuvi Station requires Location permission in order to see RuuviTags.

  • Temperature reported in wrong units

    Set temperature units in App Settings

    Ruuvi Station uses a global setting to show temperature units. This setting can be changed in App Settings > Temperature units.

  • Alert not triggered

    Alert not enabled in Tag Settings

    Check that alert is enabled in Tag Settings.

    Alert range too narrow

    Make sure that the alert trigger is configured correctly for your needs.

    Bluetooth is disabled

    Ruuvi Station requires Bluetooth (BLE) connection, check that your Bluetooth connection is enabled.

    Notifications are disabled

    Ruuvi Station uses notification settings to show alerts. Check your mobile device notification settings.

    Background scanning is disabled

    Ruuvi Station will only listen to RuuviTags when the app is active in the foreground. Enable Background scanning in App Settings to run scans when the app is working the background.

    Bluetooth is disabled

    Ruuvi Station requires Bluetooth (BLE) connection, check that your Bluetooth connection is enabled.

  • Background image is not updated in Tag Card

    Wrong file format

    Only jpeg, png and gif files are allowed to be uploaded as background images.

  • Graphs history is empty

    Background scanning is disabled

    Ruuvi Station will only listen to RuuviTags when the app is active in the foreground. Enable Background scanning in App Settings to run scans when the app is working the background.

    App Data was cleared

    Graphs history will be lost if Ruuvi Station data was cleared from your mobile device settings.

    RuuviTag is not powered

    Indicator LED light will blink on the RuuviTag, when the beacon is powered.

  • Scan results not sent to server when using gateway

    Internet connection

    Check that your internet connection is enabled and you have access to the internet.

    Background scan

    Ruuvi Station will only listen to RuuviTags when the app is active in the foreground. Enable Background scanning in App Settings to run scans when the app is working the background.

    Scanning interval

    Ruuvi Station will send background scan data to Gateway URL according to scanning interval setting in App Settings > Set scanning interval.

    Wrong URL

    Check that your URL address is correct.

  • Scans are irregular

    Lazy scanning mode selected

    When the ‘Lazy Scanning Mode‘ is selected in App Settings, the app will use the scheduled background scanning service handled by the Bluetooth library, which may have an effect on scan interval accuracy.

    Device is not connected to charger

    Being connected to a charger makes scanning more reliable.

  • Assigned RuuviTags are not shown as a list

    Enable Dashboard

    Dashboard view is hidden by default. Go to App Settings > Dashboard > Enable and restart Ruuvi Station app.

  • Reset Ruuvi Station to default settings

    Clear App Data

    Clear Ruuvi Station app data from your mobile device settings in order to reset Ruuvi Station to default settings. Important notice: doing this will make Ruuvi Station discard all data including Tag Cards.
