Here is a list of the most common issues with the Ruuvi Station mobile app and their solutions.
Ruuvi Station Cannot Be Installed
Minimum requirements: OS version, storage space, Bluetooth
Ruuvi Station minimum requirements:
- Android: 6.0 (Lollipop) or higher, 50 MB storage space, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity
- iOS: 13.0 or higher, 50 MB storage space, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity
Application store
Check that Google Play or Apple Store and Ruuvi Station application are accessible in your region.
Internet connection
Check that your internet connection is enabled and you have access to the internet.
No New Sensors In”Nearby Sensors” Page
Check permissions
Ruuvi Station requires the location permission in order to see Ruuvi sensors. In order to allow Ruuvi Station to store graph history data, you also need to grant the Storage permission.
Bluetooth is disabled
Ruuvi Station requires Bluetooth (BLE) connection, check that your Bluetooth connection is enabled.
Ruuvi Sensor is not powered
Indicator LED light will blink on the sensor, when it is powered.
Ruuvi Sensor firmware
Ruuvi Station can only see RuuviTags, which have the default Ruuvi firmware program.
Ruuvi Sensor signal is out of range
Bring the sensor closer to your mobile device. Make sure there are no structures between the sensor and your mobile device, which could obstruct the Bluetooth signal.
Measurements Reported In Wrong Units
Units can be changed in App Settings, you can configure units for temperature, air pressure, and humidity.
Graphs History Is Empty
Background scanning is disabled
Ruuvi Station will only listen to RuuviTags when the app is active in the foreground. Enable Background scanning in App Settings to run scans when the app is working in the background.
App Data was cleared
Graphs history will be lost if Ruuvi Station data was cleared from your mobile device settings.
Ruuvi sensor is not powered
Indicator LED light will blink on the Ruuvi sensor, when it is powered.
Bluetooth is disabled
Ruuvi Station requires Bluetooth (BLE) connection, check that your Bluetooth connection is enabled.

RuuviTag signal is out of range
Bring the Ruuvi sensor closer to your mobile device. Make sure there are no structures between the Ruuvi sensor and your mobile device, which could obstruct the Bluetooth signal.
Background Scanning Is Irregular
Android battery optimization features
Android users are advised to disable any optimization features which improve battery life by effectively limiting what apps can do in the background. This is especially true with Android 10 but concerns any Android devices above OS 6.0.

Scan Results Not Sent To The Server When Using Data Forwarding
Internet connection
Check that your internet connection is enabled and you have access to the internet.
Background scan
Ruuvi Station will only listen to Ruuvi sensors when the app is active in the foreground. Enable Background scanning in App Settings to run scans when the app is working in the background.
Data logging interval
Ruuvi Station will send background scan data to data forwarding URL according to data logging interval setting in App Settings in data logging interval.
Wrong URL
Check that your URL address is correct.
Reset Ruuvi Station To Default Settings
Clear App Data
Clear Ruuvi Station app data from your mobile device settings in order to reset Ruuvi Station to default settings.
Important notice: doing this will make Ruuvi Station discard all data including Sensor Cards.
